GoodSpace Schools is a NZ social enterprise, who are co-designing youth friendly, clinically safe, digital screening tools . These tools enable school wellbeing teams to identify those students who may need further support. Schools need to provide parents and students with information on how their data will be used, stored, and shared.

Confidential Information

GoodSpace solution enables counselling and wellbeing teams to manage sensitive data collected by screening to comply with stringent privacy and security requirements. Students will enter their name, school email and student identification number to complete a screening survey. The screening surveys within the platform cover a broad range of psychosocial indicators to identify risk and protective factors for adolescents, these are; school life, belonging, selfcare, home life, sexual Identity, and mental health.

School Access

The information on the platform is only accessible by those the wellbeing team have granted system access to. These will only be individuals whom the school wellbeing team deem to be directly responsible for the follow up and management of individual student wellbeing such as counsellors, social or youth workers, or student wellbeing lead roles.

GoodSpace Access

The GoodSpace platform is designed and built as a health application by health technology experts. It is supported by experienced health sector personnel who are bound by confidentiality obligations, and staff have restricted access when requested to respond to technical support enquires from authorised school counselling and wellbeing staff. All activity on the platform is tracked.

Cyber Security

The GoodSpace platform is hosted with Microsoft Azure Cloud, the world’s leading cloud provider. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption for all transmitted data. The platform TLS setup gets an overall score of A+ in the Qualys SSL Labs Online Test.

GoodSpace is a multi-tenanted cloud platform where each school has access to their respective school data. Within each school, access is protected with passwords and is only accessible by authorised counselling and wellbeing staff.

Data Security

We never sell or give access to survey data to any third party. Our business model is a Software as a Service (SaaS) where we charge an annual subscription fee to access and use the platform.

Email verification

We are committed to protecting the data of our customers. Each user is required to have a strong password with a minimum length of 10 characters. In addition, customers can implement email verification codes to add an extra layer of protection to the sign-in process. You can configure different email verification policies for log in from the School Network or Outside School Network. Refer to the Enhanced Security section in the Response Dashboard User Guide
